Kneeling and Healing

It’s a rare privilege, but here it’s everyday. Throughout the round and routine of patients and treatments, it is an oasis in time. Stresses soften. Burdens lighten.

Private prayer is powerful. No question.
Praying for people is as well. We call it intercession.

But then there is that gem of praying with a patient.

When sickness of body often follows sickness of soul, when pain in the home-life often brings on pain in the physical life, when mental burdens often load the human frame with disease, people need more than a massage therapist.

Human touch is woefully inadequate for a hurt that runs so deep.

And so we pray.

Healing comes alone from heaven. A higher hand than mine is needed.
And so we pray.

Day by day, this I see, that oh, there must be less of me.
For in kneeling comes a healing that no other way could be.

It is a miracle.

Simple Song - Unfathomable God // Part lll Prerequisite to Power

My God is so great, so strong and so mighty,
There’s nothing my God cannot do.

Nothing. This defies defeat. Reason, sight, gravity, all come to a crashing halt before the God of the impossible. He makes beautiful the things which are not. He finishes what He began. He is not limited by our limited comprehension of Him.

He moved the sun backward…
…and made it stand still

He made water pile up on itself…
... and an axe to float

He made people to walk on a lake...
...and He fed thousands with one person’s lunch

The sun may appear to have set in your life, but God can make it move backward.

Life may seem to be drowning you in it's tide, but God made dry land in the middle of a sea, and iron to swim in the Jordan river.

If your heart is a gaping hole and you cannot satisfy it’s hunger, remember that God who fed thousands with one lad’s lunch, can feed one with the resources of all heaven.

There’s nothing my God cannot do...

This is hope enough for me.

But He waits. Hungering as only a Father can for His child's heart, He waits. With longing, knowing that He has the satisfaction for every heart cry of humanity, He waits. For an invitation. A choice. A decision cast in the solitude of the soul. A surrender laid deep and whole. A simple word in answer to a simple question.      Will you let Me be your God?

In one word.

Yes.

The Greatest Miracle

The greatest miracle is not
To make the sun stand still
Nor even fill a flour pot
Without the grain or mill
It's not to calm a raging sky
Nor walk upon the sea
It's not to make a fleece that's dry
When dripping it should be

The greatest miracle is more
Than opening blind eyes
Far better it, than to restore
And make the dead to rise
Great miracles of God these are
But just a glimpse they give
Into that one which is by far
Worth every life to live

When out of human life there shines
The glory of God's face
When in the soul are drawn the lines
Of heaven's matchless grace
When God His love to us imparts
Oh wonder at the sight
That God can place in human hearts
His love so pure and bright

The greatest miracle is this-
Unthinkable it be
That God Himself, the Lord of bliss
Should touch the heart in me
Having bridged the great abyss
Himself eternally
To plant in us Love's highest kiss
-His love beyond degree!
