God knows you my friend,
The longings you carry.
His own He’ll defend
From His calm sanctuary.
He saw faithful Job
Who was tested and tried.
That one on the globe
Who with Him was allied.
God sees and knows all
When others do not,
Or when heaven’s call
Is past our own thought.
Yes. He is our judge,
Our witness, defendant,
Who will not begrudge
Help to one dependent.
