A Sabbath's blessing will descend,
On those who heed its call
If we our weekly work will end,
Its joys on us will fall
See six days are for work and sweat,
But one is laid aside
The seventh we must not forget,
For thus God is denied
So as the precious time is near,
Let earth and heaven meet
With songs of praise and words of cheer,
Let this week be complete!
